The rules for using Anateru.

Anateru ("the platform", "we", "us") connects sellers who need a package delivered with independent deliverymen who accept and fulfill that delivery. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms.

What the platform does — and doesn't do

The platform facilitates the connection between sellers and deliverymen. It does not handle, hold, or process any money at any point:

  • The delivery fee is paid by the customer directly to the deliveryman at handoff.
  • The return amount (cash or mobile money the deliveryman collects on the seller's behalf) is paid by the customer to the deliveryman, who then returns it to the seller directly.
  • Sellers separately owe the platform 10% of the delivery fee on each commission once it's completed — see "Platform fee" below for exactly how this is calculated and paid.

The platform is not a party to, and accepts no liability for, the underlying sale between the seller and their customer, or disputes over the condition, value, or delivery of goods.

Platform fee

  • The fee is 10% of the commission's delivery fee (not the return amount collected for you) — calculated per commission, not a flat monthly charge.
  • It only accrues once a commission reaches 'Completed' — you're not charged for open, cancelled, or still-in-progress commissions.
  • Everything you owe for the current calendar month is totaled in your seller settings, alongside what you've already paid and what's still outstanding.
  • We don't charge a card or auto-debit anything: you send the amount owed yourself (e.g. via mobile money) and declare the payment in your account, with an optional screenshot as proof.
  • A staff member reviews each declared payment and confirms or rejects it; a confirmed payment reduces what you owe for that month and you get an emailed receipt.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering. Deliverymen must complete identity verification (see our KYC page) before accepting deliveries. We may suspend or terminate an account for fraud, abuse, repeated cancellations, or violation of these terms.

Seller responsibilities

  • Accurately describe the package, pickup/dropoff locations, and any handling conditions.
  • Pay the platform fee owed on completed commissions.
  • Only post lawful goods.

Deliveryman responsibilities

  • Only accept commissions you intend to complete.
  • Confirm handoffs using the in-person codes provided — these exist to protect both the seller and the customer.
  • Return the collected amount to the seller as agreed.

Liability

The platform is provided 'as is'. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for lost, damaged, or delayed packages, and for disputes over money exchanged directly between sellers, deliverymen, and customers outside the platform.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.
